Cash App has the best visual design in fintech, period. The interface is bold, confident, and feels nothing like a bank - which is both its strength and its risk. Sending money is dead simple. The Cash Card customization is delightful. Bitcoin buying is dangerously easy (and that's a design choice worth questioning). Where it falls apart is customer support and dispute resolution, which are so bad they constitute a UX failure regardless of how pretty the screens are.
What earns the score
- +Visual design is the best in fintech
- +Payment flow is maximally simple
- +Cash Card customization is genuinely delightful
- +Boost rewards system is well-integrated
What holds it back
- –Customer support is effectively nonexistent
- –Dispute resolution flow is adversarial
- –Crypto integration makes risky actions too easy
- –Fraud protection UX is inadequate
